Hey, I'm planning on applying European and Middle eastern languages at Oxford to do German and Arabic but i'm just finding it a bit hard to write my personal statement, especially when it comes to linking German with Arabic to each other , its not as easy to find a link as a combination like German and Turkish. Any advice?

I'm not applying for languages, so don't take my advice seriously. Maybe you can link their significance in their respective regions (EU and the Middle East) and how they've had a huge impact on neighbouring cultures (German has had influence on Polish and Russian, while Arabic has had influence in Turkey and Iran/Persia).

I hope I was at least a little helpful!
