I am considering studying Spanish at university but is it possible to learn Spanish as part of a job ? Maybe an apprenticeship ? What is the best route to learn Spanish. I have little previous experience with the language but have a keen interest in becoming fluent.

A few jobs include language training, for example I know that you get the chance to learn a language on the Diplomatic and European options in the Civil Service Fast Stream. But for the most part, language learning is something you do outside of work. You could easily start learning Spanish at university, either by doing it as a degree or by doing an evening course at your university language centre.
