Open Uni - a105 or L161?

So I'm choosing my second module for the English Lit + Creative Writing course and a105 is strongly recommended. Has anyone done this course but not chose that module, or is it really in my best interests to do it?

I'm also looking at the L161 module, so if anyone has done that in their English degree let me know what you thought of it and whether it has any relevance to your degree!
I didn't do A105, but I did do A150 'Voices and Texts' (it was later merged with another module to make A105). I thought it was terribly boring. L161 looks much more interesting. At level 1 it really doesn't matter what modules you do, you won't be behind for not doing A105 if that's what you’re worried about.
