The Student Room Group
i applied to cambridge instead of oxford but im sure its not too different. it was basically like having a test. they gave me advanced mechanics questions. one was a bout a block moving along a rough surface with increasing force added. so lik graphing stuff. also had some graphing questions of bizarre curves to test your testing.
i was similar to you wondering how i was going to be tested, turns out it was a test. lol

good luck anyway
i got asked mainly just pure maths an pure physics stuff...

calculus, graphing equations, capacitance, force extension graphs, errr, stuff like that! brasenose college gave me a pre-release type thing, basically an article about fuel cells and then i got asked like 2 easy questions about that

my advice: be curious about things, it shows ur interested, and if they ask you something you haven't done, say you haven't, then go on to take an educated guess, it shows u can think outside your box (i hadn't done integration by parts, and he asked me to derive it from the product rule!)

wow... asking you C4 stuff (integration by parts) when they know you've only done C1, C2 and C3 is a bit evil (unless you do further maths). this is scaring me lol. it's basically saying i have to know the whole A-level syllabus by the time of the interview. sheesh.

EDIT: oh.. integration by parts is C3... nevermind. but what happens if you haven't covered it yet? do they ask you another question or kinda force you to go through it?

at my Cambridge interview, they asked me what topics i had done in Physics (physics interview), then i went for my Chemistry interview which was basically some staff they knew i had done( like haber process)...general interview..some general qsns ( why chem eng..etc) and one maths question where i had to plot a graph and do a few calculations

Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Lufbra, sheffield just asked a few qsns on staff that i wrote in my PS...and a few things on Chem eng

hmm

Differentiate cos2x
Prove (sinx)^2 + (cosx)^2 =1
Sketch y=(sinx)/x
Sketch y=xe^x
