I have a huge problem, i would not like to accuse anyone yet of my reasons but ask a question. I am doing, well i finished a level 3 btec diploma.Let's say for example that for the first year in my modules i got all of passe's and most of merit's but missed for example 2 or 1 merits but achieved couple of distinctions.Would the grade be calculated by a point system? or because i didn't finish all merits i would of got an pass even though i done some distinctions and only missed 1 or 2 merits?

If you missed even one Merit, the highest you can get is a Pass for each unit (even if you completed all distinctions for the unit).
EG; To achieve a Pass for a unit you must get ALL Pass criteria.
To achieve a Merit for a unit you must get ALL Pass and ALL Merit criteria.
To achieve a Distinction for a unit you must get ALL Pass and ALL Merit and ALL Distinction criteria.
