Accepting and then declining an offer after the 14-day period

    I'm an EU-student and got an unconditional offer for Politics and International Relations in Aberdeen, but I'm not sure whether or not it's really my cup of tea. I'm applying for law school in Finland, and my books for the entrance exam come out in two weeks. Since I only get to know if I've got in in July, I was wondering if I could accept my offer from Aberdeen, and the later decline if I've passed my exam for law school in Finland. I'm aware that there is a 14-day period when, after accepting, you're allowed to change your mind, and I'd like to know if it was possible to give up the uni spot long after that has passed (beginning of July). Thanks in advance!
