I am a final year computer science student and I have to make an online educational tool for my final year project. I would appreciate it if you could tell me If you would prefer to use a gamified or a non-gamified tool.

It depends what the learning material will be surely? An analysis of that material and how to deliver it would give rise to the techniques you might use to get the material across. It feels like you have a solution looking for a problem and are hoping respondents to this thread will point you in the direction you are hoping to go down anyway. Why not ditch the pretence and just create a game?
