Distance Learning

Hi, I am doing a MSc in Computing and IT at Northumbria University and the quality of the distance learning approach is really poor... no formative assessments, no video, no audio, no interactive content. One course is just a reading list and a pile of power points presumably delivered to a face-to-face class. It is lazy course provision. I just wondered if there are any standards that protect students from shoddy course provision? The MSc is costing me £8,000 but is not worth the money. I want the university to pull their finger out but I am getting no where with my complaint with them.
Have you tried talking to these chaps?
