Hello, just wondering, quick survey of how many of you still get periods while on the POP pill? and how many of you have gained weight? and now have acne? (not just a few spots.)
    TY x

    Hey there

I was on the mini pill when I was around 13/14 purely to control my periods. In my personal experience it was awful, combining it with my pubescent mix or hormones was terrible and I put on a lot of weight, had huge mood swings and was generally just unhappy with it all (i was also terrible at remembering to take it!)

The idea of the pill is not to stop periods, you should still get them but they tend to be a lot lighter

I was on it for a few years before I gave up and got my implant, there are so many mixed reviews about the implant but for me it was and is heavenly!

Everyone reacts differently to hormone based birth control and there's no real 'sure fire' way of saying how an individual will be.

I came off the mini pill in February after two years of trying different brands because it make me bleed constantly and caused a lot of pain. Contraception just doesn't work for everyone, it's worth giving it a trial and trying different brands but I personally will never go back on it.

When i first went on it I had a 3 week long period, then 2 periods in 4 months, then nothing since !
