Volunteering at a festival this year - Do you have any advice or tips?

It's only a medium sized festival near where I live (Bingley Music Live), me and my friend have volunteered together and have decided to commute there and back every day.

If you have volunteered before, do you have any advice?

I have been to festivals before I have just never volunteered!

I don't know yet.

-Could be wrist banding (I assume a lot of us will be doing that on the first day)
-Standing about giving information and directions.
-Selling programmes and merch.
-Bar work, food stalls, parking attendant.
-'Green team' making sure everywhere is clean and tidy.

I think they will rotate our roles each shift we have.

Well then. Just keep calm. Listen carefully and if you do programmes and merchandise, remember to apply the correct mathematics to work out how much they need to pay and, if needed, change.

Normally if you volunteer you only do a small amount of work say 8-16 hours then the rest of the festival is yours my sister did Glastonbury this year and only had to do 8 hours Wednesday and 8 hours Friday then the rest of the festival was hers to enjoyb
