Am I being pushing her away

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

I've known this girl now for a month and though we are fairly close, she is closer with our male friend and I get jealous when seeing how close they are, though we met her at the same time. They are always hanging out, talking, laughing and smiling and people often confuse them of being a couple. Then when she tries to talk to me, I walk away or give a moody reply, she tries to act playful, chasing me, jokingly insulting me and complimenting me and again I just walk away, cause her friend is around.

By being a jerk, am I pushing her away

    Yes you are.

Sounds like someone's jealous of her friend...

Yes, you're getting upset over something that isn't actually a big deal and she is picking up on that, don't' make things worse for yourself. Stop getting upset just play it off like you don't even realise he is there.

As someone who has witnessed someone else go through something like this, I'd advise you to analyse the situation carefully. I too told my friend he was being a friend when he suspected his close friend (a girl) talking and flirting with another boy........
Next thing you know they're going out. Don't be a jerk about it, but keep in mind it can happen.
