What do men think of older women?

Is a woman who is older (30's/40's) more attractive/more able to find a date among men her age if she has a fit toned body as opposed to an overweight woman? Or are older women generally not seen as attractive? I'm asking as I've read that some men say only young are attractive.

I hate when people say 'toned'. :argh:

If a older women works out or looks after her physical well being she will obviously be more attractive. A great personality would also help in finding dates.

Depends upon the age gap of which she's aiming to date as people date those of similar ages due to having a higher chance of finding people of similar maturity levels, though there are exceptions.

Yet some guys seem to think older means 29 I'm talking when we get into our 40's, even early 50's.
Someone is watching too much porn
The first thing that comes to mind is 'M*lf' but errr.... Yeah
No, when they are that age and single alarms start to ring, usually because they have a problem or that they were to stubborn in their younger life and they get really desperate when the amount of men who muster the courage to ask them our drops from 10 to 0

Even when I was a teenager I was more than capable of finding women of thirty, forty, and older attractive.

I wouldn't necessarily say all this "fit/toned" stuff is much of a thing with me, though I've always though healthy-looking women looked better (obviously).
Obviously being in good shape will help. For some reason I think older women are hawt.
Older women are cool, they tend to forget all the coyness that goes with being a "girl" They tend to not need a man except for one purpose and we only need our imagination for that purpose, and alot of guys has always had a teacher fantasy at one point in our life or other Personally I would not consider having a long-term relationship with one it would only be experimentation.
Older women can be quite nice. Generally more mature too. I'm at an age where they're an option for me, but I'm perhaps too young for them. Some older women are gorgeous.
I like 70-90+ year old women...:colone:

Women don't like to talk about weight, but I think it maybe more than looks that will keep a man. The looks attract the man and the attitude and the life style will keep the man regardless of age.
I generally tend to find younger women more physically attractive but older women seem to be more open & engaging from my experience which is definitely a plus point.

I don't wish to sound angry, but frankly the age isn't a problem, the problem is women in general being cold and picky. If an older woman who was intelligent and in shape was friendly and flirty with me then fantastic. I find experience and imagination attractive, plus they can be more assertive. Also, it's more physical characteristics like skin, shape features etc I find attractive that aren't about a woman being young. I also like a sex drive, many older shapely women have this more than skinny, younger women with poor diets.

Frankly a lot of older women will have the same mentality as younger ones, only more bitter.....angry, entitled, snobby, cold etc. She has to offer nothing and ****s the man while he has to offer it all.

Please don't think I'm saying this about all women, but there are too many like this.

And no, I'm not minging, I'm actually told i'm attractive.

so true and disgusting I think.*

I know some amazing, down to earth, attractive single women in their 30s who suffer these prejudices all the time. *It really does get to them and often its very far from their reality. I'm going to give you a quick example, I met this one lady a doctor in chemistry and head of a top department in the biggest pharmaceutical company in the UK. She was in her 40s, amazingly gorgeous and friendly and obviously a great success yet she was single. You can tell she wanted a family but her choices in life, her career, made that option impractical and maybe even impossible. She was busy 24/7/365.*

People can be very judgmental and insulting towards older single folk. Its unfair.
