As long as it's only assault and not a greater violent caution then it's covered in the filtering for enhanced dbs checks, it will always remain on your record however after 6 years yiu don't have to disclose it and it will always be filtered out when an enhanced dbs check is done to you.Request a subject access report from here (costs £10):

sorry looppy, my first written caution is for assault, the second is for something worse, and sexual in nature. I can't actually remember whether i have been charged for this, but i will soon find out when the enhanced check comes back shortly.

I had a meeting with the VIPs on monday, and they confirmed my place, subject to the final dbs check. So i just have to wait now... PS i will be able to do the masters without a placement. i will have to do a desk based dissertation...
