In all seriousness I am actually really interested in the concept of anthropomorphic animals and how this extends to their place in literature, furthermore how people anthropomorphise animals without even knowing it 'omg that dolphin is so happy'. I agree that indeed animals can display emotion, whether or not they are 'human' emotions is debatable. But yes this subject interests me as you can probably tell from my avatar and my username however I have only ever heard the term anthropomorphic used to describe the application of human characteristics onto animals, never heard it called 'furries'

Oh really? Well the furry fandom is a gigantic collection of fans, artists, writers, musicians, etc, all whom find the depiction of anthro characters fascinating. We call yourself furries and we project ourselves onto our 'fursona' which is how we see ourselves on the inside. It will make you feel like part of a massive family ^^
