Why do/would you unfriend someone on FB?

For example if the person was not otherwise posting all the time or being annoying/bothering? Would too little updates be the answer, or not being close friends, or something else?
Have you been unfriended?
I have been unfriended some time ago by several people and was surprised, I didn't know the reason. We did not see each other in a while but we shared a good memory together. Anyway, not sure why or why they even accepted me in the first place?

Ever since this guy i know came out as gay a few months ago, he's been sharing gay softcore porn clips a few times a week. Like I'm sorry mate but you don't see me spamming Facebook with pictures of Tori Black or Remy Lacroix being rammed. It's not like you get a free pass because you're gay now.

I tried to ignore it but i got fed up and deleted him. Hopefully he hasn't noticed

I tend to delete people who look like chavs and I would be embarrassed to even associate myself with.
Its all a little bit gay though isn't it. Like primary school squabbling all over again.
I unfriend people that share the Britain First memes/crap. No time for that in my life.

I've probably been unfriended for posting too many cats pics :colondollar:

I only usually delete someone if we fall out or something. I only accept people I know very well so it's rare for me to delete anyone.

i tend to unfriend ppl who use a lot of abusive language (doesn't have to be targeted towards me) and who swear in their posts.i also get away from negative minded ppl.
I unfriend people that post tonnes of awful things.
I also unfriend people that I didn't like but now have an excuse to unlike them
e.g "My french exchange students boyfriend I didn't like but friended to stay in contact. Then they broke up and I unfriended them"

Thanks, you think they didn't like me? I didn't feel like that. But then why accept a request?

I think they maybe found a reason to unfriend you. Maybe you posted something boring or posted too much. Or maybe they did it by accident? You'll only know for sure if u ask them!
They wanted to keep in contact for some reason and now they don't. Why, idk, u might know?

Been unfriended this week because I didn't ask someone how their new baby was doing ffs
I once unfriended someone who did nothing but send me messages saying "hi". He wasn't too happy that I'd done it and couldn't understand why.

Generally, I only unfriend people if they annoy me.

I really can't find one ... I very rarely post something as well and it is not boring. I really can't think of a reason. We didn't see each other a while. They have other friends like that though. It was several people so I was more surprised ...

Maybe it was because you'd not met up in a while? :dontknow:
By several people, do you mean she just unfriended a lot of people in 1 go?

:s-smilie: How strange

I've unfriended people who I don't talk to. Infact, a few I can't even remember who they are.
Usually I unfriend people if they share too many Independent/Vox/Buzzfeed/Huffpo articles, but if they're too closely connected to a social circle of mine I'll just unfollow them.

I tend to just unfollow people if their posts annoy me. Don't tend to unfriend.

Why? I don't get that.

Personally, anyone who types like a 9 year old who just got a smart phone gets unfriended - it says more to me about them than their spelling. They're usually the same ones with 100 selfie profile pics and reposting "wraps" for weight loss etc.

I also unfriend exes immediately - cut the cord. Non of that stalking his profile or having him lurking on mine - makes me feel like I'm on CCTV. I also unfollow anyone who adds me and then doesn't interact with me whatsoever - either they're just adding me to stalk or to increase their friend count - either makes me uncomfortable.

I'll unfollow anyone who's stuff I just don't enjoy seeing or who's political opinions are opposed to mine - I'd rather unfollow than argue with them. If they're totally racist or biggoted then I unfriend.

As for people who don't post often - literally no need to unfriend them unless they're posting offensive stuff.
