Are you still watching BBC Three?

It's been a few months since BBC Three has pissed off to be an online-exclusive thing now, so how are we all feeling about it?

For me, BBC Three as a channel was one of those that I would flick to whenever there was nothing else on; as such I don't really bother with the online version (even though it only takes a few button presses to go to the iPlayer via Smart TV).

I also find BBC Three in general laughable now in how it has tried to change throughout the years. Back in the day it was hosting shows such as Coming Of Age (I loved that, by the way), Family Guy, American Dad, and Little Britain, etc. The sort of shows that could take the micky out of anything.

Then they must have realised that the channel was popular with young people and wanted to be a bit more ethical. Now BBC Three is full of shows against drugs and crime, and advertising sex & relationships and health & wellbeing, etc.

These documentaries are, I feel, crap in general, mostly due to who presents them. The only exception to this is Reggie Yates, who is a top guy and I would probably watch his porn films should he decide to do any. The others though? Nope. Stacey Dooley is annoying with that vacant face she has, and she always repeats pointless things when she interviews people, e.g:
Former sex slave: 'I was told to stay inside until they had a man who wanted me to work for him'
Stacey Poo-ley: 'Oh really? You had to stay inside until they had a man who wanted you to work for him? Gosh.'
Repeat that a few times and that's pretty much all she does for an hour.

I'm also surprised at how Professor Green has suddenly gone into doing their documentaries. The rapper with lyrics such as how he would call a bulimic a fat b**** (At Your Inconvenience), etc, is now doing documentaries about dogs and stuff.

What do you think?

I didn't watch the channel itself when it was on-air as I hardly ever watch live TV, but I enjoyed several of its programmes on iPlayer - Little Britain, Gavin and Stacey, Pramface and a few others. The fact that it's not a channel anymore didn't really affect me, but the relative lack of content as a result of budget cuts has - there are no longer any BBC Three shows that appeal to me.

What seemed to happen sometimes is that a show would start on BBC Three and then move up the channels to BBC One, as it became a big hit. That kind of thing just won't happen anymore, as BBC One won't commission the stuff that BBC Three would, leading to all viewers eventually losing out, not just the ones who watched BBC Three.

I only really watched it in bed if I couldn't sleep so haven't really bothered with the online version.

Ah, Gavin and Stacey. The show that made the Welsh feel proud and stereotyped at the same time.

...and then occasionally you will hear the odd un-translated English word in a random sentence
