What do you NEED to know before studying Social Work? Postgraduate

Why bother with a post grad? Are they even worth it? Have your say! 26-10-2016

I've recently been accepted onto a social work MA ready to start in September. (Yay!)

BUT... I have had no formal education in any of the social sciences, let alone social work, so I'm flicking through all these books feeling a bit overwhelmed on what I definitely need to know before commencing the course in September so I'm not on the back foot and can get a good start with assignments. Is anyone able to shed some light on this?

If you've met the entry requirements you'll be fine. Enjoy the time off and work hard once you start. Ask for help when you need it. People will have a variety of backgrounds when they start so don't worry.
