I don't want to go to my Insurance. How do I get them to release me into Clearin?

Self explanatory title. I applied for Economics. I am almost certain I've missed my firm choice but achieved my insurance grades but I don't want to go there anymore. My insurance is Uni of Essex. Heard that unis are a bit funny about releasing people into clearing when they've met their offers, like they need you to give a GOOD reason why they should let you go. They may even delay the process of releasing you making you late at grabbing the best clearing offers.
Any examples of Good reasons to give, and info on how that process works and how quick it is.

they cant force you to go, just phone and say I changed my mind.
