Selling my 3DS to fund new phone... opinions?

Hey, so I'm selling my 3DS for the final bit of cash for my new phone. But I'm having doubts. It's already on eBay so I can't really go back, but there's one game which brings back my childhood. But it was only one game. And I feel like I need to move on because I think I'd appreciate a new phone more. It seems to me that once it's gone, I'll feel better knowing I'll get my new phone.

How much extra do you need to fund the phone? Can your parents contribute or maybe you can sell something else?
