Don't know what to change my course to.. help???

Hello, so I've gotta a conditional offer at Bournemouth University to study Multimedia Journalism. I really liked the idea of it at first but now thinking about it, i want to change my course. I don't personally believe my writing or verbal communication is up to standards for a Journalism degree and i don't want to just waste a year and fail. I also don't believe i am confident enough to do it.

I studied BTEC media and AS photography at college. I have no idea what course to change to but i cant afford to take a gap year either. Its difficult because i haven't found a course that has excited me as of yet. Just wanted to see what your suggestions would be for me to do?

Hey EmmaAl,

What is it that interested you about the MultiMedia Journalism course? If you like the media side of things but not so seen about all the writing, maybe a more practical media degree would be good for you?

If you're still undecided, you could take a look at some of the media courses we still have open to see what's out there. The broad course means you'll get to cover all areas, or you can specialise in areas from photography to public relations, TV or new media.

Any questions, just holla!

Best of luck,

The BCU team
