I know that there's been LOADS of threads asking this very same thing, but...

I'm trying to find a good bag for Sixth Form. I want something that's smart, but also spacious enough to carry everything - I'm doing four A-Levels (Biology, Chemistry, Maths, and Physics), so I need lots of space! I keep coming back to these (or similar) bags, but they're quite expensive and I'm not sure if they will be big enough (or even how big I actually need).

Does anyone have experience with satchels like these, or does anyone have any other suggestions that might be better?

Satchels are really cute and sophisticated looking but they definitely wont be big enough to fit everything in. Unless of course you buy a super huge one and those don't look as great as the standard sized ones. The kind of bags I've been using are cross body bags (which are quite similar to satchels) which can fit larger than A4 folders inside. One of my friends uses a backpack and those can literally fit the world and his wife inside, so go for that if backpacks are your thing! Might strain your back a bit though if you constantly carry around a lot. It's true that you'll need a spacious bag for sixth form, but keep in mind that you can use your locker to lessen the load. I end up emptying the contents of my bag into my locker in the mornings then before every lesson I just take the textbooks/folders I need for that one lesson then return it to my locker after the lesson. The only time my bag is really full is in the mornings when I bring everything to school and when I'm leaving school and deciding what I need to take home with me.So if a satchel is really what you have your heart set on, get one! Using your locker smartly and carrying textbooks/folders in your arms will make it manageable. And if the price is an issue, here's some links to places that do them for cheaper:

    Hope that helped x
