I know this is probably the wrong place for this and it might get moved but I'll put it here for now anyway.
I want to research the McCarthy family of Blarney castle from around the time that the current stone structure was built, by Cormac Laidir MacCarthy, Lord of Muscry in 1446, however I ve not been able to find anything extremely accurate, conclusive, or helpful on the internet so I know that my best bet is books. However, I don't wish to fork out a lot of money on various books that aren t helpful for what I want to research. Really, I'd just be happy with a basic family tree containing all children, including the daughters. So does anyone have any recommendations on what to read to learn about the family history?
