I need a carrying case for my new macbook pro retina, which is the best?

Given that I've never owned a Macbook, let alone a carry case for any laptop I'd have to say there's doesn't seem to be much in it. The first one is more expensive but has a lot more reviews and positive feedback. Second is cheaper but all good reviews. Both seem to be made with a similar material and look to be of a similar quality.

Worth noting, you mention you're buying it for a Macbook Pro Retina. The second cheaper carrying case lists that it only fits 12 inch devices while the more expensive one allows you to pick the size that suits you. I don't offhand know which device model you have so I'd recommend the first, purely because I have no idea which size you want and it actually offers options.

But personally I think laptop sleeves are a waste of time. If I'm carrying a laptop around it's in a bag, not a sleeve. It'll get slung over my shoulder rather than me always carrying it and risk dropping it.

Aren't they exactly the same? I'm confused
