Child dependant

I have a child that stays with me 2 nights a week and i pay child support. This is an agreement between me and my childs father. I dont get benefits for this child, the father does. Am i entitled to financial help for my child through student finance whilst i study?

To have a child dependent they must be classed as wholly financially dependent on you. This would mean you must be named on the child tax credit award letter.
