    I'm very confused about this question. (Q8)

    Is the energy given the total energy of each proton? Or is it just the kinetic energy?
    What is the centre of mass energy? The total energy in the centre of mass frame?

    So taking the energy as half the total energy in the lab = com frame and the com energy as the total in the com frame for part ii, I get the answer of Ep = 1.999x10^12 which is not what the answer apparently is..
    I only used conservation of energy in these calculations. I have no idea where I went wrong.
