This is usually only true for muslims whose parents are born outside the UK. The ones born in UK are much more liberal although they would still prefer their son and daughters to still marry muslims, if not that, it's usually whites 2nd in line.

I have a lot of Muslim friends and this is not the case.

It depends I suppose.

I would never wear one, and who cares about what others think of it anyway.

i would find it insulting if somebody wore a hijab and i was dating them, they are not my property and am unafraid of others looking at them. Sadly from my experience the stereotype of Muslims wearing hijabs being ugly is pretty much true.

A 'muslim' girl who practices 'hijab' would never date. The people you guys are talking about are those who wear a piece of cloth because of either their culture, family or just like wearing them. Nothing 'muslim' about someone who goes on a date. A muslim sounding name and skin color does not make you a muslim. There maybe many apparent non-muslims who are more muslim than a person born in a muslim family.
