i wanted to know what to carry on the first day of the sixthform and any idea what we will be doing at school will we be just briefed or do we start with our subjects

I would recommend that you take all your books you have been told to take (if any). Make sure you have plenty of equipment and at least one plastic wallet for any sheets you may be given. It all depends on the teacher of whether you start work or just do introduction. Best of luck with your subjects!

Just bring normal stationary, pen, pencil etc. There's nothing special or different that you will need, or at least not for the first day (unless perhaps you do some kind of specialist subject where you do need to, but they would tell you in advance).

First day will just be introducing you to your topics of whatever classes you have, telling you what you will be doing in the year and what you will need. Depending on the length of the lesson and the intro, you might start on the first chapter/topic, but it won't be anything too hard to start with.
