Is it possible to become a maths teacher with an economics degree from UCL?

If I do a pgce later on. I do maths and further maths at a level.

If you can land a PGCE then I don't see why not, though I'm just a second year maths student so.. starter for 10.

I know there's not a huge amount of point in referring to one person but the head of maths at my school studied economics at undergrad. :h:

Yes you definitely can, on my secondary maths pgce there were ppl from a range of degree subjects from management to business. You'll be fine, they usually do a subject knowledge test to check if your subject knowledge is sufficient.

If they think your subject knowledge is not sufficient they would ask you to complete a subject knowledge enhancement course and then offer you the place. Hope that helps.
