I recently have received an offer on a course pending some conditions, one of them is to provide a satisfactory professional reference. I've already provided reference info on my application (from a former university supervisor), however I think
they might want an additional one? They asked for 2, one couldn't do one, they then considered my application and offered me a conditional placement so I think they want an additional one.
I'm thinking about emailing them to ask but thought I would ask on here first. I'm struggling to find another reference because the only educational reference I can provide is from my previous supervisor, and my employment was part time/full time in a retail shop. I could ask my former manager to write one, but it won't be like a company/professional headed letter as only head office have access to such things. Could I just ask my supervisor to write one or is there any other way? Or just ask my former manager to type one up and sign it?
I just hate the reference part because I've been in the same job(now quit) for 5 years+ and haven't been to uni for a number of years so I've ran out of people to ask.
thank you for any advice
