Hi everyone just made an account here as I got through to mechanical engineering year 2 for the university of the west of scotland through clearing as I got rejected from my options (I done a HND in mechanical engineering). So I wanted to would it be possible for me to complete second year in UWS and then transfer to mechanical engineering in glasgow university or Strathclyde university.

Also does it matter much about which university you go to when you are finding a job.

Uni doesn't matter. Your grades and what you study do. I don't think you can transfer after your second year but you may want to email the unis and ask.
