    So I recently received a large sum of money as a gift. I've allowed myself £1k to spend on it and then will be doing something sensible with the rest of it.

    I have always wanted to get myself a designer bag, and have my eye on a Mulberry BaysWater.

    However I also realise that it is a ridiculous amount of money to spend on a bag, and could also go towards a nice weekend break for me and my hubby.as we both work really hard and it's nice to have another thing to look forward to.

    We do have lots of holidays scheduled for the next year though (Japan, Singapore, Argentina, Vienna, Vietnam/Cambodia & India) so perhaps we don't need another one!

    I can't really think of anything else I'd want to spend money on though. I'm not that materialistic, and don't want for much... I'm a real foodie so perhaps I should spend it on some really nice meals out, and day trips around the country?

    Ah, this is definitely a good problem to have but I need to make a decision soon as I know that if I leave it, the moneybwill just get swept up into BAU bills and other boring spending.

    What would you do?

    I would get a girlfriend but you don't get good ones for £1k

    Me = Problem solved
