Hey, I would like to know if you are usually put with same sex roommates or ?

It can be if you want.

There's an option when you apply for acommodation to request same-sex lodging.

I'd suggest e-mailing or phoning the Accommodation office (https://www.aber.ac.uk/en/accommodation/) if there's a specific issue or something which means you have to have same-sex accommodation.

Roommates = sharing a room, in which case, yes, always. If you mean are Halls mixed, ie might your next door neighbour be a different gender to you, then yes, most halls (in fact all at Aber I think) are mixed.
