Could do with some assistance

1. Hey

I was wandering if anyone could help me with a section i am having difficulty with its SOLVING EQUATIONS NUMERICALLY, i cant for the life of me do any of the exercise questions! Could anyone please help me, with any notes or a webpage i can visit to assist me, it is the CIE curriculum.

For Q2 you can use the recurrence relation of and converge onto a number. From that point it should be straight forward what value of N to pick.

For Q4 you can use interval bisection method. i.e. test f(x) for x=3 and x=10 then bisect this range down to something like x=5 and x=6 until you have a sign change between two consecutive integers. Not sure about decimal search.
