No Accommodation Left at DMU?

I've just been accepted through my insurance choice to De Monfort and have been sent an email for the 16/17 accommodation only to find that they are all full -.- . I don't fancy forking out just under £5500 for a studio as I will have no money left over.

Is anyone else in a similar predicament? Do you know of any alternative sources of accommodation? I've heard Mansion Court is nice, but I want to be able to socialise with other freshmen etc.

Thank you for your reply, I have phoned them. The reply I got said that I should wait for someone to cancel, or to look for private accommodation. I don't know why they would take on extra students without the ability to accommodate them?

I'm thinking I should just wait for a cancellation and just check as often as possible?

Yeah just check like all the time. There will be people like you all over the country panicking about accommodation so you need to get in there first

If people are going to cancel there accommodation it will be today or tomorrow so just check as often as possible for the next couple of days

I found one this morning thank god! In Victoria halls! There was one cancellation but I paid more than I wanted! :frown:

My only advice is to keep checking!! Good luck guys!

Did you keep calling Victoria Halls or the DMU accommodation office? Also were you on a waiting list or anything like that?

I kept refreshing the online registration, the accommodation office were no help and said they didn't do a waiting list :/

Lol i don't think that victoria halls is cooperating, it says 404 error everytime, but i'm not sure i'm looking at the right thing tbh?

Oh haha, that's not good? Maybe the servers are down or something because a lot of people are probably trying the same as you!!
