So basically I am thinking about getting a SIA license, I dont want to work in security for a career or anything, I just want to do it part time while at uni. However I am not sure the cost of the license is worth it. How hard to find a part time security job with no experience? I dont want to end up throwing money out the window to find that I cant get employed. I am also a girl so its not like I will be a bouncer physically throwing drunken men out of bars.

I got the idea from my current part time job, I am a cleaner at a shopping centre and the company I work for also supplies security guards so basically they are all my coworkers / supervisors and while I am working, I just look at them and think damn I want your job. They walk around on foot patrol and stare at the CCTV all day long. Thats the sort of security job I am thinking about, not like doorman at a bar.

Anyone who has any useful info, experience, help me out please xo
