What's History like at degree level?

I had applied to read Law at university but have instead been offered History. I have very much enjoyed History at A Level and have done well in it but I've never been to a taster session or even looked into it. I was prepared for Law as it is what I wanted to do for a long time but have now been thrown off.

I will do a conversion course after the History degree but I'd like to know what it's like, and whether or not you enjoyed it, before making any decisions.

    I appreciate your responses!
