Applying to medicine

What is the best way to prepare for UKCAT/BMAT? and what is the score required to get into medicine, how are these scores even calculated?

There are a range of different books as well as only systems like MEDIFY which I found useful. E.g the 1000 questions book for UKCAT. And there's a similar one for BMAT.

Different universities look at them differently so you'll need to research that.

In the UKCAT you are scores out of 900 in each section and get an average.
BMAT has three sections and an essay. The sections are scored out of 27 and you are given a score from one to nine. The essay is scored from 1 to 5 with a band A to E on quality of written communication.

The UKCAT is used differently by different medical schools, and hence the cut off varies. Just get the highest score you can, and then look at which schools suit your strengths. The score is based on how you perform in the subsections of the test.
