    Hello !
I'm starting the IB in September and I have yet to choose my group 1 language. My native language is french but I believe myself to be skilled enough to take on english as an A language. In general I think French would be easier for me and the french teachers seem to be very invested as they've already sent us several e-mails with next year's programme and they've insisted on meeting us personally to get to know us. However I like english literature way more than the french and I plan on going to university in England after my IB so english as a first language might be more practical. I got an A at my english first language IGCSE and I was in a first language class last year. However I've got a terrible accent so I often retain myself from participating in class which might be a downside to taking english instead of french. As a whole I like english but I'd have to work more for it which might be difficult for me as I'm a rather lazy student and the IB is already as hard as it is. Any advices ? Thanks in advance !

    Have a nice day.
