Applying for 2017 - didn't get in 2016!

I am unable to do my course at University this year, so was told I could apply through UCAS again for 2017 entry this September. Does anyone know whether I would hear back quicker if I were to submit my applications this September, compared to the students that aren't applying yet (i.e. before November)?

Yes if you meet the requirements for your course they would give you their decision before everyone else (i.e if they asked for AAA and you had AAA) however if you missed out on the grades even by one (say AAB instead) then you would have to wait until results day next year as they may be able to completely fill the course with students who meet the requirements so it depends if you met the entry requirements or not.
