For my GCSE's I had gotten all A's and B's so was quite proud of myself.

For Year 12, I chose Accounting, Business, Economics and Law

I put the work in all year round. I was only really worried about if I was going to hit the 'Minimum grade of B' target I had set for myself.

I ended up getting CDUU and have honestly never been so shattered in my entire life.

I got a U in Law and Economics but I want to continue with Economics for Year 13 and it is also a linear subject so I have to redo Unit 1 & 2 next year anyway.

Has anyone ever been in a similar position - if so how did it pan out? Thanks.

Which subject did you want to drop? I suggest Law because then you can maybe bring the C up to a B and the D up to a C and well economics you'll retake anyway

im in a similar situation i get your stress . You could always take the subjects even if you arent going to get high predicted grades. If you achieve higher next year you can always take a gap year and reapply next year but there will most probably be places available in clearing/adjustement. Just focus on getting those grade now i guess

Got DDE. It feels as though it'd have been better not to do A-Levels in the first place. These grades feel like a weight around job prospects.

I feel like such an idiot for taking such hard subjects, honestly my advice for someone younger reading this would be take at least one subject which seems 'easy' or take a course like Btec Business which is all coursework.

My plan now I guess is to drop Law completely (it was always my filler because I needed 4 subjects to do). Retake my Accounting exams in January. And then Economics and Business are linear so everyone gets to resit Unit 1 & 2 next summer anyway. I just hope Economics allow me to continue.

Good Luck to you all guys. This is just an eye opener so, for the love of God, let's hope this doesn't happen again.
