If Corbyn has integrity, why didn't he support Brexit?

Corbynism is a cult - it's so obvious.

Just look at this thread - there are posts supporting Corbyn that are stating things which are just fantasy.

That Corbyn supported the Remain campaign. Why would he? He categorically does not support the EU.

That you can get fair and unbiased information from the Corbyn campaign - what nonsense. They're either utterly deluded or wrapped up in Soviet style propaganda.

Personally, I'm all for him. He's a rock solid guarantee of a Conservative government with such a majority it will probably last till the parliament after with ease.

Labour party politicians and activists with decades of experience are telling all these johnny-come-latelys that this is political armageddon waiting to happen. They've seen it before with Michael Foot. But the Corbynites aren't listening. They label anyone they don't like as Red-Tory-Blairite Scum, and switch to whichever Stalinist message is popular that day - either that Jeremy is electable, or that electability isn't as important as "the cause".

I just want to hear from a Corbynite - what are you going to do when he gets utterly destroyed in General Election, and takes the Labour Party down with him? You could be removing the left from politics for generations. Who are you going to blame? The electorate in Remain style (the electorate are all idiots for not voting for us)? The sensible members of the Labour Party (they have no right to be in it)?

What are you going to do afterward? Political power will have been extinguished. All you'll be able to do is what the hard left always do - protest and riot.

So you should base the things you do on whether bad people support them?

When those "bad people" are pretty much the masterminds behind the whole thing and will be in charge of the aftermath of it, yes. The Brexit camp was and is dominated by the right wing, so you'd expect left wingers to be skeptical of their motives and of what would happen in the event of a leave vote.

Its a shame one-dimensionally thinking idiots like yourself think that being uncritical is equivalent to being opposed.

So what evidence do you have that May and co have been opposed to it, despite being uncritical?

Her plans to deliver Brexit and trigger article 50 asap, which have evidently been postponed, if not cancelled entirely.

He spent almost his entire career being opposed to the EU, and then he (admittedly rather reluctantly) turned to support it, simply because Bremain had become a right-on cause (because the neo-liberal anti-democratic bureaucratic elitist EU is so democratic socialist).

How the hell can he be said to have integrity? Tony Benn must be spinning in his grave.

Jibe cause Jeremy Corbyn is a **** and his stuck in the 60s "peace and love" mentality. I swear the only good thing about the 60s was the amazing music, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, The doors, The Animals, Fleet wood Mac, the list is truly endless. Timeless classics that are still listen to 50 years on, you won't see that with today's music.

The music, the writers, the fashion, the fight against the oppression of blacks, the liberalisation of values, and some of the drugs. Also a few good films. Tbh, I have a lot of hippie values, but it's worth remembering that while some hippies were full on commies, there were also plenty who were pretty libertarian, or very close to it.

They'll do what all deluded extremists with no grasp on reality do instead of fronting up to their own failings: blame a non-existent media conspiracy against them.
