Tax com and BPT

Hi Guys, I'm an ACA trainee working in audit. My firm's policy is that we can only sit two sittings a year. I just passed my tax com exam june 2016 sitting. However my firm is not allowing me to sit BPT in December as they feel it's best to sit it last before the advanced stage. Aside from BPT, I have FAR and AA remaining in the prof stage. So with these circumstances, I'd have to sit FAR this Dec and BPT june next year. To what extent are Tax com and BPT correlated? Coz I will have to deal with the change in tax rates plus I will to recall my tax knowledge form Tax com which is what I'm a little worried about. Is it a lot of tax com knowledge needed for BPT?

Would appreciate all your respective insights. Thanks a lot!
