I feel scared to move on studying a book because of eventually forgetting content.

I worry that, sure, I remember the first 5 pages of a CGP book in Biology say, but 20 pages and two weeks later onto new stuff I forget what I had learnt. I am worried to move on from a page because I fear if I move on I haven't successfully memorised the entirety of the page. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to studying basically.

My major question here is this:

I have never studied hard/genuinely studied for exams. Now I am actually determinedly doing so. Because I have never memorised a 200 page educational book I don't know in myself and I don't have the confidence to say that I can learn this whole book for this subject and other subjects.

Will I over time learn and accumulate all this knowledge? Does it build up as you study more?

You stop yourself from forgetting stuff you've already learned by reviewing it while you're learning the new stuff.

That makes sense lol, it's all I can do, review the content many, many times.
