Help with Math IA!

So I am doing my last year in school and the IB diploma (out of a 2 year course) and we do all of our IAs in the second year. So I am quite confused as to what to choose as a topic for my Math IA. I am quite good in Math and I was the only full scoring student last term and my teachers told me I could go in for HL (but I pursued a more medical approach).

What I have in mind is that as I have seen Math IAs on modelling the projectile of a football or some other modelling I was wondering if I could do something similar however not football related, rather ballet related.

I am a ballet student and I was wondering if I could make a 20/20 math IA on probably the elevation of the foot or how we balance and what not and how to model it. I would ask my teacher but we all are lost in class as our teacher was not IB qualified >.<

Can I get some advice? If it wouldn't be a successful math IA, I wont approach it and I would go for something more theoritical like hyper-real numbers.
