How much older a potential mate you are willing to look at?

I know someone in a 10 year apart relationship and think that is too much of an age gap considering she is only 18.

After having a conversation with her about this she stated " she does not look at the age gap". This makes me question whether age is just a number?

Edit: i would prefer for my significant other to be at least not less than 4 years older than me. This is simply because i want to be with someone whom i could relate to, not having to be intimidated by the age gap.

Up to 30, I am 24
I'm 21 and my fiance is 25 (i think our four year gap is perfect really, we were 18 and 22 when we got together)

I'm 22 and I'd probably go for a girl 23 years old at most
Just a year?! That doesnt give you many potential dates does it:P

Although there's physical age and then there's how mature you are, but i guess i can see what you mean. I don't notice the difference between the 2 of us since i m so old brained really:P

i think you mean tits down
A minimum of a 10 year gap.

I'm 19 right now but my age range is 30-48.
If I weren't in a relationship already, I think the oldest I could go for is 5 years older than me so around 29/30.

Why am I not surprised with this coming from you.

If thats truly what you want, why waste time on the student room.

He said at most so under 23 is still ok :dontknow:
Probably a year or two max but no way in hell a 21 year old girl would date me considering I look about 15.
When I'm 30-35 I will marry someone in the 18-22 age range.

I am 19 and my husband is 22 so three years age gap. Just got married in May.

When I was at school though I always said no more than a year older but that is just silly because age is just a number.

One of my friends at sixth form who was 18 at the time was dating a 30 year old guy. Wasn't so sure about THAT much of an age gap though tbh.
