Dropping the Course I Did Best In?

For my AS Levels I got:

    A- Classical Civilisation
    B- Sociology
    C- History
    C- English Literature

However, the subject I was planning on dropping was Classics as throughout the year I had been getting Ds. I got the A in the exam because I worked harder for Classics than the others- the logic being that I was dropping it and so wanted to get as good a grade as possible before this.

Now that I've gotten the A, I feel guilty about dropping it and I'm not sure whether universities would frown upon the results BCC.

Also, I've gotten Bs in my mocks in English and History so it was a surprise to get such low grades- I definitely should have worked harder for them and less so for Classics, I was just very nervous since throughout the year in Classics I had been doing so badly!

Do you think dropping Classics is a bad idea? If I did drop it, then I'd be able to focus more on my other courses and do you think I'd be able to bring them up to ABB (I'm hoping for an A in Sociology, a B in History and a B in English Lit).

Just to add, English Lit, History and Sociology are all two year courses so these AS grades don't count!

The classics grade would have counted though- another reason for maybe carrying on with it!
