I'm a mature student starting a course this October. When I used the maintenance loan calculator, the result is up to £10,000 plus. When I looked back at my application though (I ticked the highest amount available) student finance automatically calculated £5000 plus only. It maybe to do with the fact that I chose ''living with parents" as an option. However, even though I live with my parents I pay rent myself so I really would need the higher amount available as I am in fact renting like a normal tenant. Please can you advise how to alter the maintenance allowance request amount?
