I will be commuting to kingston university from where I live in West Sussex (over an hour drive), i've been having a nightmare with trying to find free parking for students, everyone says you need to pay or 'residence only'. I don't see why I should pay for parking as a student of a university. I am told parking permits are free but WHERE can one actually park using these permits? I've been told by staff at the knights park campus that their car park is full of staff and tutors' cars already. Someone with some knowledge please help me out here.

Hi, https://www.kingston.gov.uk/parking here's a link to parking information in Kingston hopefully they'll be something there to suit your needs
