the Results are nearly out, so I wanted to ask:
What would your honest reaction be if your GCSEs were marked really harshly for some reason and you got a combination of Cs and Bs?

I'd be genuinely disappointed in myself and probably spiral downwards because Cs and Bs wouldn't get me into the sixth form of my choice. Also, with Cs and Bs, I'd most likely ruin some future educational prospects too.

I would be disappointed, but as long as I got B's in the subjects I wanted to do at A-level, I wouldn't be too disappointed.

GCSEs are a good indicator to what you would achieve studying A-levels. For example, a student who achieves Cs and Bs at GCSE, will *on average* achieve Cs and Ds at A-level (1-2 grades lower than GCSE). So, don't be disappointed if you get lower grades than what you wanted, just be aware of what the statistics show when deciding if A-levels would suit you.
    Best of luck.

Shocked because I got all A's in my mocks and angry because I've worked too hard for some bumbling fools to mess up my results just so they can make it look like results have improved next year.
