Traffic Light Cameras Help!

I was passing through some traffic lights the other day and notices some cameras on top of them? Are they sensors? Or are they for red-light jumpers? Thanks

Heres a google maps link of the lights!

Yes they are for red light jumpers. They're also known as roadside cash machines. They fine people, put points on their licences so that means much higher insurance premiums which the government gets back in VAT and insurance tax.

This is so wrong it's untrue.

The camera you've posted is a sensor, so you can flash traffic lights at night to make them change faster, or they won't go red while there are cars coming if it's a pedestrian crossing.
